You Carried Me

“Behind every success is someone who believed first.”

Some songs are written about a moment. Others are written about the person who helped you make it through all of them.

You Carried Me is my thank you to someone who believed in me when I did not always believe in myself.

There were times when the road felt too heavy, when the nights felt too long, and when walking away would have been easier than continuing. Through those moments, there was always someone there reminding me not to quit.

That kind of belief is easy to underestimate while you are living through it. Sometimes you do not realize how much another person has carried until you finally look back and see how many times they kept you moving forward.

This song came from that realization.

It is about having someone who sees something in you before you can see it yourself. Someone who keeps pointing toward the light when all you can see is the dark. Someone who reminds you that one bad day, one failure, or one moment of doubt does not get to decide the rest of your story.

The stage lights, the crowds, the music, and the victories may be the things people notice from the outside, but behind every success is someone who believed first.

That is the heart of You Carried Me.

It is not about fame. It is not about standing in the spotlight alone. It is about recognizing the person who stood beside you long before there was a spotlight.

The person this song is about knows who she is. That is enough for me.

You Carried Me is a thank you, a testament, and a victory cry for anyone who has ever been carried through a time when they could not quite stand on their own.

A THANK YOU. A TESTAMENT. A VICTORY CRY.
You Carried Me.
